EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS

Research shows that the values of formal education, work & family has changed considerably between Generation Y (Born between 1965-1980) and the Millennials or Generation X (1981-2000). The Millennials now account for one third of our workforce and growing rapidly to take over the operations within the next decade.

If the declining admissions at post-secondary institutions, abysmal graduation rate at high schools, colleges & universities, and the alarming 'Skill Gaps' is any indication, we at the Multicultural Chamber of Commerce believe that an 'Employer-Driven' education, in concert with educational institutions and public officials is the key to streamlining the process, changing it from traditional Degree-based to Knowledge-based.

Knowing that the Millennials covet debt-free education, accelerated, skill-building and specialized training, MCC has set-up a low-tuition, 2-year non-profit Vocational/Career College in 2010, in the State of Michigan (
www.dominicaninternationalinstitute.org), offering more than 600 exciting short courses (45-hours each) in four faculties: Arts/Humanities, Languages/Cultures, Business Administration, and Health & Medicine.

Students can study just what they wish to study by taking most programs online, while still having the option to attend the Harvard University style 'Case Study' seminars & workshops at Dominican International Institute Campus (DII).

If it is more convenient, some of these programs can also be offered at your location, in partnership with MCC/DII - using the same case-study module - based on real-life situations at your corporation.

While higher education and degrees remain the hallmark for executive positions, these short programs & on-the-job training are a great alternative for  'Middle-Skilled Jobs'.

Because we work closely with many High Schools, we can help you hire these bright youth as interns and train them for the jobs you have. The return-on-investment for this employer-driven training will be substantial.
