Tourism is a major contributor to the world economy, generating significant amount of revenue and employment for most countries around the world.
In 2012, tourism generated $6,526.9 billion in Global GDP, providing 8.7 per cent (260 million) of total employment around the world. By 2020, tourism is expected to increase to $9,939.5 billion and 327.9 million or 9.8% of total Global employment or 9.8 per cent of Global GDP.
In the United States, Tourism is expected to generate more than $100 million in 2015, providing nearly 8.2 million jobs, and increasing faster than most industries.
Since Tourism plays a major role in world GDP, peace and better-understanding, the Multicultural Chamber of Commerce wants to become a major participant in promoting global tourism, through its global chapters and members.
Our Global Tourism Promotion Programs, based upon our knowledge & more than 50 years of experience, includes working closely with Tourism Organizations, such as U.S. Travel Association, ASTA, PATA, CTA, Domestic & International Tourism Boards, Visitors & Convention Bureaus, as well as Airlines, Hotels, Convention Planners, Tour Operators, Travel Agents, and Hospitality Industry around the world.
As a Member, the Multicultural Chamber of Commerce can also help you with Employment, Mentorship & Volunteer work in the tourism industry, both locally and overseas. Prescreening evaluation, including references and police certificate is required for all positions. Employers are also encouraged to register vacancies with MCC.
Medical Tourism has become a billion dollar industry, with clients from around the world traveling to USA, UK, Europe, Asia, Middle East and the Caribbean/Latin America for better treatment or inexpensive healthcare, including surgeries & dental care. MCC maintains information & contacts about the doctors, clinics, hospitals and other health-tourism providers to help you find cost effective and reliable resources.
We encourage all Tourism Service providers, including Destinations, to please consider advertising in our local Chapter or International Yellow Pages – either thru Videos or Display Ads, to reach out to thousands of our members in all parts of the world.
